Terahertz Devices and Systems

The THz devices and systems laboratory develops room temperature operated Terahertz technology for key applications. On the device level, the group works on semiconductor-based sources and receivers, such as photoconductors, photomixers, Schottky diodes and field-effect transistor-based rectifiers. We make use of these devices in order to construct powerful and versatile systems in order to target specific applications in the areas of spectroscopy, non-destructive testing and imaging. System aspects further cover laser technology and integration.
